You can now do keyword research directly in Content at Scale. With our new Keywords feature, you can discover endless topics, organize them into clusters, and write content truly at scale.
Begin your keyword research by entering a project and clicking here:
1. Discover Keyword Opportunities
In the Topics and Topics and Keywords section, type in a broad (or "seed") keyword. Content at Scale will show you endless keyword opportunities.
Users are currently limited to 10 queries per day.
Topics and Keywords
Under the Topics and Keywords subtab, type in a broad keyword, such as the example below.
After several seconds, you'll get a report like this:
The report shows:
Keywords - The keyword people are typing into search engines
Monthly search volume - Approximate number of searchers per month for the given keyword
Ranking difficulty - How hard it will be to rank highly on search engines for the given keyword
CPC - How expensive it would be to pay for a cost-per-click ad for the given keyword
Trends - Monthly search volume for the most recent 12 months
Actions - Things you can do with that keyword right now (for example, 'Create Content' to write a post for that keyword)
Hide Keywords
If you don't want to see a keyword (for example, because it's irrelevant to your niche), you can hide it using the Hide Keyword button. You can always view these by toggling on See Hidden Keywords.
2. Organize Keywords
Clusters
You can organize all the given keywords into clusters by clicking the Clusters subtab.

Create a Cluster from your Primary Keyword
Navigate to your project >Keyword Research>Clusters
A pillar post is centered around a primary keyword. Type in your primary keyword here:
This keyword is usually broad and has a significant search volume.
Click Create Keyword Clusters.
View Your Clusters
Alongside the primary keyword, each cluster also incorporates a range of secondary keywords. These are typically related subtopics or queries that support the main topic. By including these, the post covers a wider range of related content, making it more comprehensive.
Once you choose a cluster in your cluster list, expand it.
Hide irrelevant keywords then click Create Content.
Creating Your Pillar Post
A pillar post is typically more extensive and detailed than regular blog posts. It aims to provide a complete guide or a thorough understanding of the topic, often encompassing various aspects and nuances.
Before you create your pillar post, remove any secondary keywords you do not want to focus on, and add secondary keywords as you see fit.
When done, click Write Post Now.

Pillar posts often serve as a central hub of information, linking to and from other related content on your website. This internal linking structure not only helps with user navigation but also enhances SEO by establishing a clear topical relationship and hierarchy.
💡 After creating a comprehensive pillar post, develop in-depth blog posts targeting each of its secondary keywords, and interlink all these posts for enhanced SEO and a richer reader experience
By providing comprehensive and authoritative content on a topic, pillar posts aim to establish your website as a thought leader or go-to resource in that area. This can improve search rankings and attract more organic traffic.
Pillar posts are often evergreen, meaning the content remains relevant and valuable over time. This can lead to sustained traffic for years to come.
Favorite Clusters
When you run a new seed keyword in Clusters, you lose the prior cluster, so save clusters in Favorite Clusters to access them later. Do this by pressing the star button. It will save in Favorite Clusters as shown:
Hide Clusters
Similarly to how you can hide keywords, you can hide a cluster if you don't want to see it.
Export Cluster details in Excel
Want to save all the information offline? Simply click the share button in the top right to export everything to Excel.
3. Write Posts
The most important step of keyword research is knowing when you're done. When you're done with your keyword research, create your keywords into posts directly in Content at Scale.
To do this, click the Create Content button to the right of the given keyword(s).
Content at Scale will take you to this dialog box. When you're ready, click Write Post Now.
Add to Content Planner
If you're not ready to write the blog post for the given keyword, save it for later in the Content Planner.
